Memorial Day

Miranda, Korban, Aaron , Bri, and Samantha all smiles today!Korban and Aaron enjoying some yummy corn on the cob

Today was a lot of fun! We had Jeremy's family over for a cookout. The weather was muggy in the morning and rained most of the afternoon but we all had a blast.

The kids loved being around their cousins and us adults had fun playing Mario Cart and cards. It's always nice to have a fun relaxing family day.

Both kids were more than ready for bed tonight with all the running around they did.

Poopy

We began potty training Aaron about a week ago. The first two days were a lot of peeing out of his new disney "car" underwear. I just about said forget it lets try again in a couple weeks when he proved he was ready. On Friday he sat down and finally peed on the potty instead of the floor! Yeah! Then he did it two more times that day. On Saturday he started out in underwear and went the entire day without an accident. Yesterday and today he even pooped on the potty! We are so proud of him. We told him he'd get a popcicle if he pooped and sure enough he did. He was running around the house so excited. Today he wanted to sit down a lot and try and poop for another popcicle. By night time he got his wish! I'm keeping my fingers crossed but we are definatly on the right track. He's only in diapers at nap time and bedtime. My goal was potty trained by the time the baby comes in December. This is a whole lot better! Who knows maybe Sammie will follow suit!

Big Appetite

This morning Aaron ate 2 scrambled eggs and 4 mini pancakes! Can anyone say growth spurt! He wanted more after that! Yesterday he had eggs for breakfast and wanted them for lunch and dinner as well! Maybe I should by myself a chicken coup. ha ha!
Yesterday we went to the zoo in the morning. I like getting there when they just open because you have the place to yourself. We all had a blast. Aaron ran the whole way so excited to see more animals and Sammie loved pointing out everything she saw. Her favorite was the monkeys.

When we got to the sea lions I gave each of the kids a coin and they tapped it on the glass which brought the sea lions right up to them. Then they would drop the coin on the ledge and the sea lion would follow it. It was so much fun to watch. This picture makes me laugh! They look like they are in awe!

Gas City

The kids and I took a little trip to a nice park in Gas City. We met my good friend and old Indy neighbor Elizabeth and her two kids Sam and Andrew for some lunch and fun.
The kids had a blast. Aaron and Sam were born 5 days apart and this was the first time they really enjoyed playing with one another. They ran here and there and everywhere.
The merry go round was a favorite as you can see below.

Samantha enjoyed trying to keep up with the boys at first but then discovered how much fun Andrew could be. She squated down beside him and tickled his head and belly. She is such a sweetie.
We had a great time and will meet again soon! The kids were beat and slept all the way home.

Mother's Day

I am writing today about yesterday! I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I am so blessed by two wonderful kids!

Aaron ran in to tell me "Happy Mother's Day"and "I love you!" Samantha had a huge smile for me when I went in to see her.
We enjoyed breakfast out, a relaxing afternoon and putt-putt and Chipotle later on.
Aaron has taken up an interest in ping pong and is getting quite good. He scored 2 actual points against me(maybe that is why he'd rather play me than daddy!) ha ha!

Jeremy took care of diaper duty which was really nice.

I love my family!
