Perfect Sunday

Today the weather was nice and cool. We enjoyed a walk in the morning and took a bike ride to the park after naps. Aaron ran around the park acting like he owned the place. I love watching him run and how excited he gets when he accomplishes something new. Sammie just wanted to get down and play (and eat wood chips of course!) Sammie banged some pots and pans together today while I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. I can't wait to teach her how to cook. I'm such a lucky mother to have such great kids. I love my family so much.
Tonight Aaron brought the classic book "Goodnight Moon" to bed with him. I could hear him upstairs reading it as I laid on the couch downstairs.

Samantha Vance is 9 months old

Hard to believe that Samantha is now 3/4 of a year old.

This evening when the kids and I were waiting out front for Jeremy to come home Aaron and Sammie played ball together. Well Aaron would give her the ball and she would clap it with her hands then let it go. Aaron thought it was great to have a playmate.

She is rolling all over the place and loves to hold onto things and stand up.

This evening we went as a family to Lakeside Rose Gardens and took some pictures and just had some nice together time. It was a beautiful evening!

I take Sammie in for her 9 month appointment on Thursday so I'll update you on her stats then!

Bridal Shower and Baseball Game

Samantha and Bride to Be Lyndsay
Last Saturday I took Sammie to her first bridal shower. She was so happy to be passed around and especially loved the bride to be, my cousin Lyndsay.

Aaron with his "bat" and ball!

Aaron went to his first baseball game with daddy on Monday. He was so excited, jumping up and down chanting "Aaron baseball game." The game started at 7pm and they made it through 2 innings before the thunder and lightning. It didn't matter though, Aaron got the baseball bug. When he got home he took off his shoes and has been using one for his bat for the past few days. He carries his baseball and shoe around everywhere. So needless to say he's been going barefoot because he won't allow me to put his "bat" on his foot(: He even went to bed with his shoe the first night. Since the game got rained out they will get to use the tickets for another game this season!

Sammie started clapping a few days ago and even stood by herself for a few seconds. She is getting frusterated by the army crawl because she tends to just go backwards not forwards. This evening I had a blanket out back and she and I looked up at the leaves blowing the the wind. I got her giggling so hard she kept turning herself over.
